Introduction

NCFDC Strategic Advisor Braden Kemp is available to meet with clients to explore and develop support plans for innovative and growth-oriented businesses, providing:

  • General advice and entrepreneurial mentorship
  • Feedback on business models, investment strategies, pitch decks, financial projections, strategic marketing plans, etc.
  • Industry connections, referrals and advice on accessing external opportunities (funding, financing, entrepreneurial development, etc.).

About Braden Kemp


Braden Kemp, Strategic Advisor

With more than a decade of experience in Canada’s technology commercialization industry, Braden Kemp has held senior roles in both the public and private sectors. As an entrepreneur, Braden founded and currently operates a manufacturing and e-commerce company along with a consulting practice.

Braden has held various positions in growth companies and the organizations that support them—most recently as Director of Operations at National Prostaff Inc. and previously as Director of Client Services at Spark Centre, Durham and Northumberland’s Regional Innovation Centre.

Braden has been an advisor to a variety of technology companies in food and agricultural technology, military technology and training, engineering and design, influencer marketing, e-commerce, wearables and more.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from the University of Guelph and is a graduate of Ryerson DMZ accelerator.

Eligibility

NCFDC clients approved for participation in the following programs and initiatives are exclusively eligible to book an appointment with our Strategic Advisor on a first-come-first-served basis:

  • Members of Northumberland Manufacturers Association (The NMA)
  • V13 Policetech Accelerator
  • thriveFORWARD

For all other NCFDC clients (e.g. DELIA, CFP, etc.) please send an email to your primary program contact if you would like to meet for a business counselling session, or reach out to us at info@ncfdc.ca to book a time with an alternate mentor.

Office Hours

Advisory sessions are typically up to one hour and conducted online, subject to Strategic Advisor availability (posted and bookable via Calendly—click the link below).

NCFDC reserves the right to cancel meetings if clients are not eligible based on program participation (see Eligibility section above) as well as the right to cancel or reschedule meetings if multiple meeting requests are received from the same client, and subject to advisory resource availability.

NCFDC may contact you in advance to request background materials and other information for discussion purposes. Information shared with NCFDC is confidential and subject to our published PRIVACY POLICY and TERMS OF USE.
